SEOUL, South Korea-Lucent Technologies Inc. signed a contract with Korean operator KTF to supply a CDMA2000 1x EV-DO network under an $80 million contract.
The contract will cover the city of Busan and most of Kyungnam province, including Ulsan city, and will offer data services with speeds of up to 2.4 megabits per second, Lucent said. The supplier will provide base stations, mobile switching centers, related software and professional services.
KTF has more than 10 million subscribers.
