DENVER-Wireless broadband communications services provider USURF America Inc. will acquire broadband Internet access service provider Pipeline Networks of Colorado L.L.C. The acquisition will include Pipeline’s operating assets and approximately 500 broadband Internet customers located in 12 multiple dwelling unit properties that represent 3,562 potential customers.
“We expect that the acquisition of Pipeline’s customers will allow us to add operations with positive cash flow and gain valuable roof rights at each of the properties, allowing further deployment of USURF’s wireless broadband network,” said Ken Upcraft, executive vice president.
USURF will pay an undisclosed amount in cash and a note or shares of common stock in the acquisition, which should close in the third quarter of this year.
