MUNICH, Germany-Siemens AG named Ian Moyes as the new head of its mobile-phone segment, one of its five divisions within Siemens Mobile. Rudi Lamprecht, head of Siemens Mobile and member of the Siemens managing board, previously headed the division.
Moyes, who previously oversaw sales and reorganized worldwide sales of mobile phones for the German vendor, will begin his new position Sept. 1.
“The reorganization of the mobile-phone segment and the product campaign are both paying off,” said Lamprecht. “We will once again sell more mobile phones this year than in the previous year, and thus continue our growth path for the fifth year in a row.”
