NEW YORK-Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. held a product showcase in New York to display its advanced electronics equipment from televisions to camcorders and took the opportunity to show off two high-end new phones, including a mobile phone/miniature TV.
Samsung officials were not immediately available to discuss the products, including when they will be available and what they will cost.
Samsung’s new SGH-P705 features an NTSC television combined with a GSM/GPRS mobile phone. The phone also features multimedia messaging capability that allows users to capture TV images and send them to other phone users.
Samsung’s new SGH-E715 is a clamshell-style device that features an integrated digital camera.
Separately, Motorola introduced its new V60t handset, a variation on the company’s popular V60 model that includes a color screen. Motorola said the phone will sell through Cingular Wireless for $150.
