BOSTON-American Tower Corp. announced Jim Taiclet, formerly president and chief operating officer, will take over the roll of chief executive officer, replacing Steve Dodge who will continue as chairman of the company’s board of directors.
Taiclet joined American Tower in September 2001 with previous executive experience as president of Honeywell Aerospace Services and vice president of engine services at United Technologies Corp.’s Pratt & Whitney.
“All management teams are as good as the sum of their parts, and ours is no different,” said Dodge, expressing confidence in the company’s current management team. “This team is young, smart, driven and absolutely up to the task.”
