ARLINGTON, Va.-Satellite technology provider MobiApps announced it has closed an $8 million investment round. The funding was led by 3i, a global venture capital and private equity investor, and Green Dot Capital, a subsidiary of Singapore Technologies Pte. Ltd.
The proceeds will be primarily used to fund MobiApps’ satellite and terrestrial transceiver business, including the manufacturing of satellite transceivers, hybrid terrestrial and satellite-based asset tracking solutions, and embedded hybrid satellite and terrestrial chipsets for industrial communications.
