ALAMEDA, Calif.-UTStarcom Inc. said it earned a net income of $59.1 million, or 46 cents per share, compared with a net income of $30.8 million, or 27 cents per share, in the year-ago period.
Its net sales rose 44 percent over the previous quarter to $584.4 million. The company’s net sales in the second quarter were $405.8 million. Year on year, its net sales jumped 120 percent from $265.5 million.
