MURRAY HILL, N.J.-Lucent Technologies Inc. said it has introduced what it described as a new compact, cost-effective CDMA base station known as the Flexent Modular Cell 4.0 Compact.
China Unicom is one of the product’s first customers, said Lucent.
“China Unicom is deploying the new base station as part of its phase three expansion, in which Lucent is supplying CDMA2000 equipment to increase the coverage and capacity of the operator’s network in six provinces,” said Lucent.
