Telular releases fixed cellular terminal

VERNON HILLS, Ill.-Telular Corp. has released its Phonecell SX4T CDMA2000 1X fixed cellular terminal. The new product launch follows the introduction of its Phonecell SX4P CDMA2000 1X fixed cellular phone, which began shipping in August. By plugging standard telephones, faxes and computers into the terminal ports, users receive immediate telephone access through CDMA wireless networks.

According to Telular, the products feature wireline voice quality, high-speed packet data, circuit-switched data and analog fax. They can be used for fixed wireless applications, including wireless local loop, portable dial tone, least cost routing, and telemetry and are especially attractive for wireline replacement applications because they allow users to switch to wireless service without sacrificing the traditional features of a fixed phone line.

SX4T is available in single-band 800 MHz and single-band 1900 MHz models. The SX4P version is available in a dual-band 800/1900 MHz model, a single-band 800 MHz model, and a single-band 1900 MHz model.
