HERNDON, Va.-Mobile virtual private network software provider Ecutel Systems Inc. announced it purchased Inciscent Inc., which sells enterprise management software. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“This acquisition marks a significant transformation for Ecutel Systems,” said Jack McDonnell, Ecutel’s chairman of the board. “The individual technology strengths of each of the two companies’ core product lines will now be combined to add new value to both Viatores and IC2 that will further differentiate these leading solutions in the marketplace.”
Inciscent sells its Infrastructure Command and Control software suite to businesses, which the company said allows information technology operations personnel to securely respond to computer systems and network issues via the Web or wireless networks using most handheld devices. Ecutel said the combined company will work to sell to its mutual customer base.
The merged company will combine its current management teams with Inciscent’s Tom Matthews assuming the role of president and chief executive officer for Ecutel.
