Dobson commences exchange offer

OKLAHOMA CITY-Dobson Communications Corp. said it commenced an offer to exchange up to $650 million principal amount of its 8.875-percent senior notes due 2013 that were issued Sept. 26 in a private placement for a like principal amount of its 8.875-percent senior notes due 2013 that have been registered under the Securities Act of 1933.

Dobson subsidiary American Cellular Corp. made a similar offer, noting it commenced an offer to exchange up to $900 million principal amount of its 10-percent senior notes due 2011 that were issued Aug. 8 in a private placement for a like principal amount of its 10-percent senior notes due 2011 that have been registered under the Securities Act.

Both offers are set to expire at midnight Dec. 30, unless extended.
