AUSTIN, Texas-Motorola Inc. filed a lawsuit alleging Micron Technology Inc. is infringing on Motorola’s patents for dynamic random access memory.
Motorola, which plans to spin off its chip division, claims Micron infringed on 10 patents and has failed to pay compensation or reach a licensing agreement.
Motorola, which lost about $400 million in three consecutive quarters in its chip business, plans an initial public offering this year for its chip division.
