WASHINGTON-Senate Finance Committee Chairman Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) has demanded a “thorough housecleaning” at the federal agency that contracts for information technology equipment-including wireless gear-for government agencies.
A recent GSA audit cited severe contracting problems with the Federal Technology Service, a unit of the General Services Administration. Grassley has asked the GSA’s inspector general to conduct a full review of FTS’ contracting practices.
