Ericsson execs to see compensation cut 10%

STOCKHOLM, Sweden-Reflecting the economic climate, L.M. Ericsson plans to slash the remuneration of its top 150 executives by 10 percent. The cut also affects options programs, which the company said have reached “pariah status.”

“We have listened to all the criticism about excessive management pay,” chairman Michael Treschow was quoted as saying.

The company has laid off about half its staff since 2000.
