BOISE, Idaho-The wireless enterprise market continues its march with Extended Systems announcing an expanded agreement with European operator Orange to offer wireless e-mail services to Orange subscribers.
Under the new agreement, Orange will offer Extended Systems’ OneBridge Mobile Groupware solution, which supports wireless access to e-mail and personal information. The service will run over Orange’s signature devices, including the Orange SPV E200 and the Handspring Treo 600, and will support Lotus Notes and Microsoft Exchange.
Orange has been using Extended Systems’ mobile solutions since 1999.
“By enabling mobile access to business-critical information, we have boosted productivity,” said Steve Page, manager of Orange’s model corporate technology. “Using solutions such as OneBridge means that being out of the office does not mean being disconnected from vital corporate information and services that we take for granted in the office.”
In other wireless enterprise news, Mobile Reach International Inc. said it signed a partnership agreement with Trio Teknologies and Sprint PCS and will participate in two Sprint regional Partner Road Shows this month.
