MUNICH, Germany-Siemens AG said it will supply a third-generation UMTS network for Polish operator Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa. The agreement also includes UMTS handsets.
The value of the deal was not disclosed.
PTC, which has 6.1 million subscribers, initially plans to offer UMTS service in the capital of Warsaw.
The announcement follows Siemens’ agreement last week for its first Eastern European UMTS order with T-Mobile in the Czech Republic.
