TAIPEI, Taiwan-Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. said it recorded a six-fold increase in its net profits to $479.3 million.
The company attributed this to a rise in customer demand. Some of its customers include Motorola Inc. and Texas Instruments Inc., which also enjoyed profits in their quarterly results.
“In the communication sector, the long drought is over,” TMSC’s chairman said.
