AMSTERDAM-Royal Philips Electronics said it has won a GSM patent lawsuit against Korean vendor Sewon Telcom Ltd.
A German District Court ruled that a Sewon handset model infringed three Philips patents essential for the GSM system.
“The court held that the action was, by itself, sufficient cause for infringement and that there was no need for Philips to prove any further sale or delivery of equipment in Germany,” said Philips.
