H-P improves enterprise solutions, teams with Ericsson

PALO ALTO, Calif.-Hewlett-Packard Co. extended its developing Adaptive Enterprise Strategy with advancements the company said would help network and service providers evolve toward more flexible architectures designed to better serve mobile customers.

The changes include enhancements to H-P’s Fraud Management Solution Version 9.0 and the company’s mobile Service Delivery Platform 2.0, and the availability of its Content Mediation and Charging solution and Mobility Support Services for public wireless LANs and private LANs.

The company said the changes are designed to “make mobile personal” and will help mobile operators evolve proprietary networks toward open, modular platforms.

H-P also announced a worldwide agreement with Ericsson to jointly deliver a unified communications solution for businesses converging both telephony and information technology infrastructure, as well as service provider and private enterprise networks. H-P said the agreement is targeted at small- and mid-sized businesses and enables employers to provide seamless voice and data services for employees, whether they are in the office or traveling.
