VANCOUVER, B.C.-Sierra Wireless announced its MP 555 GPS rugged wireless modem has been certified by Sprint for operation on the carrier’s PCS network. Sprint is the first wireless carriers in the United States to certify the solution.
Under their agreement, the companies will work together to market and sell the MP 555 GPS in-vehicle mobile solution through the PCS Business Solutions Program, targeting public-safety and utility departments.
“Combined with the enhanced Sprint nationwide PCS network, our next-generation MP 555 GPS wireless modem provides a fast, durable solution for organizations that require immediate results and additional resources in the field,” said Jason Cohenour, senior vice president of global sales for Sierra Wireless.
