DALLAS-Flat-rate wireless provider MetroPCS Inc. launched its @metro data and PictureTalk messaging service, allowing customers to download content to select BREW-enabled handsets and send multimedia messages using the Audiovox 8900 camera phone.
The @metro service is available using either the Kyocera Corp. Rave handset or Audiovox 8900 handset, while the PictureTalk service includes unlimited picture and text messaging for $5 per month on top of MetroPCS’ $40 per month service that includes unlimited local and long-distance calling.
“We’re responding to our customers’ needs not only by providing affordable, anytime, unlimited service, but also by offering new and innovative services that take advantage of our advanced 3G network,” said Roger Linquist, founder and chief executive officer of MetroPCS.
