Leap Wireless enhances Cricket calling plans

SAN DIEGO-Leap Wireless International Inc. expanded it Cricket service offering with its Cricket Unlimited plan that includes anytime local calling, U.S. long-distance service (except to Alaska), text messaging, voice mail, caller identification, call waiting and up to three directory-assistance calls per month for $55. Customers that sign up for the carrier’s Automatic Bill Payment service will save an additional $5 per month on the service.

Leap also launched its Multi-Value Plan, which allows customers on a qualified service plan to add up to three additional lines to their account and receive a $10 discount per month for each added line. The carrier noted the Multi-Value Plan includes a single bill feature and is targeted at families and small business users interested in streamlining their wireless service.

“We believe that the introduction of such high value, no-strings-attached offers further strengthens our position as the choice for smart consumers in Cricket markets across the U.S.,” said Glenn Umetsu, executive vice president and chief operating officer at Leap.
