ATLANTA-Earthlink has announced its intentions to sell its own branded converged wireless voice and data devices. The ISP said it will debut its first product this spring offering a complete bundle of applications on a handheld device including e-mail, voice calling, and Internet access all supported and provisioned by Earthlink.
The company boasts that the new products and services will be a full extension of the Earthlink brand featuring protection from its spamBlocker product.
“Mobile professionals rely on wireless e-mail to make them more productive. Spam, if unchecked, has the potential to eliminate the very reason for having a wireless device in the first place,” said Brent Cobb, vice president, Earthlink wireless.
