RadioShack, HSN to sell Sprint wireless services

RadioShack Corp. will begin offering Sprint Corp.’s small business wireless pricing programs and services at its retail locations across the country as an expansion of its current Sprint PCS offerings.

The small business program will include the Sprint PCS Nationwide Volume Program, which provides a 10-percent discount for customers activating a minimum of five lines as well as a 5-percent discount for employee-purchased service plans. In addition, Sprint Business Pricing Availability allows businesses to take advantage of special corporate-purchased business pricing plans, and increased customer support is offered through Sprint Business Customer Care.

“This new Sprint offering further strengthens our commitment to deliver value and provide solutions to all of our customers,” explained Stu Asimus, senior vice president and chief merchandising officer at RadioShack.

Sprint also announced a two-year agreement with HSN to be the exclusive telecommunications provider for selling postpaid wireless and local and long distance services on the shopping network. The agreement will allow Sprint to showcase its suite of products and services through on-air appearances, hosted presentations and other marketing opportunities, as well as provide exclusive rebates and offers to HSN viewers.

“HSN is truly a pioneer in the electronic retailing industry and our new relationship provides a valuable and unique sales channel, allowing Sprint to reach more than 80 million households nationwide each day,” said Tim Kelly, vice president of marketing for Sprint Consumer Services.

Financial terms of the agreement were not released.
