WALL, N.J.-Centennial Communications Corp. said it was evaluating strategic alternatives for its wholly owned Centennial Puerto Rico Cable TV Corp. subsidiary, which currently serves approximately 73,500 subscribers in southern and western Puerto Rico. The company, which serves approximately 1 million wireless customers in the United States and Caribbean, noted it has engaged Waller Capital Corp. as its strategic advisor to assist in the evaluation, but added there was no guarantee it would undertake any particular actions as a result of the review.
Centennial announced a similar review in 2002, but later decided to keep the Puerto Rico cable operations, noting that continuing to operate the system provided the “highest value for shareholders.”
