SAN ANTONIO-SBC Communications Inc. unveiled a bundled offering for business customers allowing them to integrate wireline and wireless services, including Research In Motion Ltd. BlackBerry service plans from wireless subsidiary Cingular Wireless L.L.C., traditional wireless plans and SBC local and long-distance voice services that the company said could save up to 20 percent in monthly charges.
The discounted plans are available on qualifying SBC Connections local voice packages for new qualifying BlackBerry plans and new GSM Nation service from Cingular and begin at $70 per month for unlimited data usage and 550 anytime voice minutes. The discount is also available on new BlackBerry plans that are bundled solely with SBC local voice packages beginning at $40 per month for an unlimited BlackBerry plan.
“We are combining SBC wireline and Cingular wireless services to provide our customers with compelling bundles and integrated services that can help businesses increase productivity, as well as their competitiveness in the marketplace,” said Ray Wilkins, president of marketing and sales at SBC.
SBC noted that it would add more options to its bundled offerings later this year including Cingular DataConnect, SBC PremierServ Network-based virtual private network services and SBC FreedomLink Wi-Fi service.
