WASHINGTON-EFJohnson today said it received a $1 million contract to provide the Department of Energy with its Netelligent Infrastructure Systems Project 25 trunked communications system and Project 25-compliant portable radios.
“We are pleased to provide the DOE with our Project 25 system,” said Michael E. Jalbert, chairman and chief executive officer of EFJ Inc., the parent company. “Our solution provides the DOE with a clear and interoperable digital communications system. Since our system uses Voice over Internet Protocol, this aspect gives them the scalability to grow as their needs evolve. We are working with a major DOE contractor, Bechtel Bettis Inc., on integrating the Netelligent system into the DOE site,” Jalbert added.
