LONDON-Vodafone Group plc announced a collaboration with gaming company Square Enix for new content for the Vodafone Live! multimedia service. The agreement marks Japanese-based Square Enix’s entry into the European market.
The initial titles available for download to Vodafone customers will be Aleste and Actraiser, both of which will debut in Vodafone Germany in July. The games will be rolled out across other Vodafone carriers during the summer. A mobile version of Drakengard is also planned for a summer release.
“The addition to Square Enix’s quality games titles to the Vodafone Live! portfolio is a real win for our European customers,” said Time Harrison head of games for Vodafone Group Services Ltd.
