SANTA MONICA, Calif.-Boingo Wireless and EarthLink Inc. announced an expanded platform services agreement that will result in a new integrated Wi-Fi feature in future versions for EarthLink’s TotalAccess Internet software.
Under the agreement, EarthLink has licensed Boingo’s software development kit for Windows and Mac OS X and will use it to build Wi-Fi access and connection management capabilities for TotalAccess. The partnership builds on a previous agreement, signed in 2002, which resulted in a standalone EarthLink Wi-Fi service.
