KDDI to use OTA technology from InnoPath

TOKYO-InnoPath Software, formerly DoOnGo Technologies, announced KDDI Corp. has chosen its DeltaUpgrade Plus over-the-air (OTA)-based software update solution to deliver advanced services to KDDI handset users.

“With the popularity of sophisticated handsets on the rise, a total solution dedicated to fast, seamless software update delivery is critical,” said Kimihiko Nakamura of KDDI. “An OTA-based software update solution will ensure our subscribers’ needs and increase customer satisfaction.”

KDDI plans to offer InnoPath’s services commercially by mid-2005.

The companies said they will also consider working together to develop and deploy future OTA enhancements, including products like remote diagnostics and feature upgrade software applications.
