LONDON-U.K. third-generation operator 3 added a new NEC handset to its portfolio with the e228, the Japanese company’s sixth 3G device to launch in the United Kingdom.
The bar-format handset features two high-resolution cameras, which both enable video telephony and capture still and video images. Photographs can be set to identify incoming callers. A speakerphone allows hands-free video and voice conversations, and the phone incorporates Java technology.
