BEDMINSTER, N.J.-Verizon Wireless said it has reorganized its Get It Now downloadable applications menu in an attempt to make it easier for customers to browse and select from the 500 unique applications the carrier offers from its wireless data service. The reorganization includes the additions of a new shopping category in the GIN virtual store and a new getFun category that includes entertainment, food and drink, astrology/spiritual, comics and greeting cards categories.
Verizon Wireless added that it has printed new full-color GIN catalogs for customers that are available at company-owned and participating retailers.
Verizon Wireless also announced the launch of Vindigo Studios’ Wgamer.com application that enables GIN customers to access reviews of GIN games from their wireless handsets. The application is available from the getGames menu under the getFun category for $3 per month plus airtime.
