WOBURN, Mass.-VoiceSignal said it began shipping its speech-recognition technology on the Sendo X multimedia smart phone. The Sendo X is available in France, Italy and the Netherlands, with rollouts continuing in other European countries.
The phone is the first GSM phone to ship in Europe with VoiceSignal’s multi-language speech-recognition software. The phone includes speaker-independent name dialing, and it allows users to launch the speech-recognition application from a Bluetooth headset.
