Cingular honors 25 millionth customer

BOSTON-Cingular Wireless L.L.C. honored Medfield, Mass., resident John Brooks III as the carrier’s 25 millionth customer at a ceremony at Cingular’s flagship store in Boston. As part of the ceremony, Cingular said it would donate $2,500 to the Joslin Diabetes Center’s Camp for Children, a non-profit organization selected by Brooks, as well as present Brooks with a Motorola Inc. Cingular reported it had surpassed the 25 million-subscriber mark during the second quarter of this year as part of its July 22 earnings announcement.
