BELMOPAN, Belize-Nortel Networks Ltd. said it has agreed to supply Speednet with third-generation, CDMA2000 1x infrastructure equipment to bring advanced voice and data to the carrier’s customers in Belize.
The applications will cover Web browsing, e-mails, photos, video and music downloads, games, ring tones, location-based and push-to-talk services, according to Nortel.
“Speednet also plans to offer services in underserved rural areas of Belize, providing access to information and Internet services in low-density areas,” said the both companies.
