MAIDENHEAD, United Kingdom-T-Mobile International said it has deployed a trial of Flarion Technologies’ FLASH-OFDM system for its mobile broadband services in The Hague, the Netherlands.
Both companies said the first group of users is already enjoying the network.
“T-Mobile is constantly investigating and screening new mobile broadband technologies,” said Hans-Eckhard Kruger, executive vice president, systems engineering at T-Mobile International. Users of the Internet Protocol-based technology will experience mobile data of about 1 megabits per second to 3.2 Mbps in the downlink and 500 kilobits per second to 900 kbps in the uplink, according to the companies.
