WASHINGTON-Former wireless lobbyist Thomas Wheeler has joined Core Capital Partners as a special advisor to the $170 million tech venture fund.
Wheeler last year stepped down from the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association after serving as president since 1992.

The firm said Wheeler will assist the firm in identifying and pursuing new technology investment opportunities and will serve on the board of directors of selected portfolio companies.
