BEDMINSTER, N.J.-Verizon Wireless users can browse restaurant recommendations, read reviews and get driving directions with a new service launched Tuesday.
Verizon teamed with software developer Vindigo Studios, location-based services provider MapQuest and travel and lifestyle Web site Gayot.com to offer the application, which is available to users with Verizon’s Mobile Web 2.0 service.
“Vindigo Restaurants, our Mobile Web 2.0 application, builds on our existing relationship with Verizon Wireless,” said Jason Devitt, Chief Executive Officer of Vindigo. “Vindigo Restaurants allows customers to easily and efficiently access restaurant reviews, recommendations and directions from the premier sources for those on the go, including Gayot.com and MapQuest.”
