ESPOO, Finland-Nokia Corp. will launch a product designed to help parents protect children from unwanted content and services on their handsets.
Nokia Intelligent Content Delivery, which is expected to available in the fourth quarter, allows users to bar access to services based on its content category, maximum price or maximum size. The product will be offered to operators that will in turn make it available to subscribers.
“With the increasing amount of new mobile content services, there are inevitably services and sites which not everyone would want to access,” said Olli Oittinen, a Nokia vice president. “Hence, the ability to safely and securely control access to these sites is important for both operators and their subscribers, and our solution allows just that.”
