VANCOUVER, British Columbia—Canadian messaging software developer Voice Mobility International Inc. raised $1.6 million in private placement.
Mobility offered 2.5 million units consisting of one common share and one-half of one share purchase warrant at about 52 cents per unit. Each whole share purchase warrant entitles the holder to purchase once common share at 78 cents per share over the next three years.
Earlier this year, the company announced a global agreement with Avaya to offer large-scale messaging to service providers. Observers said Voice Mobility may be looking to expand once again following the successful private placement.
