PushMessenger launches server for wireless operators

PARIS-PushMessenger launched an instant messaging and presence server (IMPS) for mobile operators and Internet service providers, the wireless software developer said Tuesday.

The company’s ISP/Carrier Edition allows for the convergence of computers, fixed and mobile phones, enabling users to be connected simultaneously to several devices, PushMessenger said. The IMPS offers a load-balancing and clustering architecture allowing the simultaneous connection of several million users, according to the company, as well as a specific administration interface for moderation.

PushMessenger ISP/Carrier Edition also allows services such as chat, blog, instant messaging or content broadcasting from mobile phones. A service for consumers based on the product has already been delivered to market in France under the name PushChat.<
