LARKSPUR, Calif.-Dilithium Networks introduced its DTG200 gateway product, which it said resolves the problem of video corruption between an Internet Protocol network and a third-generation network.
The product uses Dilithium Networks’ Video Refresh technology, which minimizes the duration of video corruption due to air interface, interference and noise while maintaining the highest possible frame rate. The company said corruption in the bitstream of a video frame can affect the current picture being processed as well as subsequent video frames up to 13 seconds. Local detection of the errors by the gateway simplifies the function of the video-mail server and increases the quality of the video, said the company.
“The ability to minimize video corruption enables service providers to build next-generation converged voice-video networks and create revenue-generating services, especially for video-portal and video-mail applications,” said Lee Ellison, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Dilithium Networks.
