SANTA CLARA, Calif.-Mobile marketing company July Systems has launched a “Game Sampler” service on AT&T Wireless Service’s mMode offering, allowing would-be gamers to try games before they buy them.
With the service, users can download and preview a catalog of mobile games, then decide to purchase them outright or on a pay-per-play or rental basis. July Systems, which provides marketing technology for mobile operators, said the service is the first of its kind.
“The Games Sampler service is a real example of how July’s sophisticated mobile content retailing technology helps our service provider customers as well as content provider partners multiply mobile game revenues and profitability,” said Ashok Narasimhan, July’s chairman and chief executive officer.”
