COSTA MESA, Calif.-CDMA2000 subscribers surpassed 127 million in September, and the technology’s subscriber base is growing by 5 million users per month, according to The CDMA Development Group.
CDMA technology as a whole now has 227 million subscribers, said CDG.
Asia Pacific remains the largest region for CDMA technology with 96 million users, or 42 percent of all CDMA subscribers. Korea is the largest CDMA market in the region with 36 million users, followed by China with 25 million and Japan with 18 million.
North America has 88 million CDMA subscribers, while Latin America and the Caribbean have 39 million CDMA subscribers.<
