BEDMINSTER, N.J.-Verizon Wireless expanded its content offerings with two announcements. The carrier launched a new service that allows music fans to view images of artists as they browse and download ringtones and voice tones. Through Track Magnet, which was developed by content provider Ztango, Verizon customers can buy the music clips for $3 each or four for $10.
Also, the nation’s second-largest carrier announced an agreement with Universal Music Group. Under terms of the partnership, the two companies will develop joint marketing programs centered on pop and hip-hop artists, such as Ashlee Simpson, Nelly and Ja Rule.
