FORNEBU, Norway-Telenor said it began commercial UMTS services in Norway, with a focus on selling its mobile television service using the new network.
Telenor said the UMTS network covers more than 2 million people in 70 cities. By March, 132 cities will be covered, and all areas with more than 200 people will have full coverage by 2007.
During an introductory phase, Telenor Mobil customers can make free video calls.
