NEW YORK-WeightWatchers.com today launched what it said is the first mobile weight-loss application to be integrated with a Web-based account via the Internet.
The company introduced Weight Watchers On-the-Go, a software offering that synchronizes with subscribers’ online accounts to keep diet and nutrition information up-to-date. The application is compatible with most Palm OS-based handheld personal devices running on version 3.5 or newer from manufacturers including Handspring, Palm and Sony.
“Our customers told us they want tools to help them make wise food and exercise choices, whether they are at their desks or on the move,” said David Kirchhoff, chief executive officer of WeightWatchers.com, Inc.
