MONTREAL-Wireless publisher Airborne Entertainment announced Wednesday that it has acquired mobile developer Cellus USA Inc.
Airborne, which develops and distributes games, messaging services, ringtones and graphics, said the acquisition will help solidify its position in the North American mobile entertainment market. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Cellus boasts a portfolio of polyphonic and master ringtones, ringback tones and mobile images, and provides managed services offerings.
“This is a key step forward in our one-stop-shop strategy of bringing branded content into the mobile world, cohesively, across multiple product categories and distribution channels,” said Garner Bornstein, Airborne’s chief executive officer.
