BUENOS AIRES, Argentina-Huawei, the CDMA Development Group and the International 450 Association said they have successfully demonstrated a 450 MHz CDMA2000 1x EV-DO end-to-end solution.
It took place during the 4th Meeting of the permanent Consultative Committee 11 of the Inter-American Telecommunication Commission.
The three parties said they demonstrated the technology with the support of Telecom Argentina, the nation’s biggest carrier, using the existing PSTN switch for voice and high-speed data services, such as video on demand.
Huawei said it successfully demonstrated the technology to officers from here, Brazil, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama, Peru, the United States and delegates from operators such as Cotecal and Infracom.
