ZURICH, Switzerland-Loyalty Gate Ltd. announced Swiss and SN Brussels Airlines have added a new wireless component to their frequent-flyer programs.
The SMS Gift Miles program, developed by Loyalty Gate and its technology partner Wirelesspark, allows members of the Swiss TravelClub and Privilege frequent-flyer programs to give miles via short message service to other members without knowing their membership numbers. To give miles, members must log in at the program’s Web site and enter the miles they wish to transfer along with a message. The system then sends an automatic gift code to the recipient.
